VinLink is a Pre-Pay service. VinLink is not a term contract service. VinLink came live in 2003 and was the first to offer web services. With a pre-pay account you have money in your account and then your account is reduced by the cost of the VIN Report you run. As long as there are enough funds in your account to cover the cost of the VIN Report there are no other fees. The minimum is $100.00 US to start your account and it also the minimum amount to replenish your account. There is a $25.00 cancellation fee and if your balance exceeds $25.00 a refund check of that balance will be either applied to your credit card or a company check will be issued. REPORTS

BASIC REPORT - A BASIC REPORT is the Core VIN data. The Core VIN data is the data the Automobile Manufacturers are required to insert into the VIN structure for their particular on road vehicle. The BASIC REPORT covers all Vehicle Types from 1981 - current.

Basic Module = Passenger cars, light trucks, (under 10,000 Gross GVW), over 50 manufactures covered.
Heavy Truck Module, over 42 manufacturers covered.
Motorcycles, over 812 manufactures covered.
Trailers, over 2,500 manufacturers covered.
RV, over 14 manufacturers covered.
